Dri-Wick® desoldering braid simplifies the desoldering of PC board components, posts, pots, flags, thru hole connections, pads and traces, as well as many non-PC board applications. Specially-formulated copper braid, treated with "water-white rosin" flux or "no-clean" flux, is heat activated with a soldering iron to produce strong capillary action. This combination of forces quickly melts and draws solder into the braid, leaving a clean, tinned surface, free of excess solder and ready for rework. Dri-Wick and an iron is a complete system that requires no vacuum: an effective, inexpensive and portable alternative for solder removal.
