Summary: American Beauty® resistance soldering accessories designed to maximize productivity of resistance soldering and wirestripping power units. Attach easily to the front of power units (see below) as a replacement to handpieces.
Description: Stationary dual carbon electrode panel attachment for mounting to the front of your resistance soldering power unit. Model 10513A attaches to American Beauty® Model 105B2 power unit (1,100 Watts) by using 1/4-20 brass screws in any two of three output terminals (choose the correct terminals for the desired output). Model 10513B attaches to American Beauty?Model 105C1 power unit (1,8000 Watts) by using any two of three output terminals (choose the correct terminals for the desired output). Both of these panel attachments accept Model 10550 3/8" x 4" (9.5 x 101.6mm) carbon electrodes as standard. Model 10549 1/4" x 4" (6.35 x 101.6mm) smaller diameter carbon electrodes can be accommodated by using Model 10538 sleeve bushing.
Uses: These useful accessories attach directly to power units for production applications. For instance, if solder joints are to be made on two terminals on a nearly-completed power relay, hold the relay with the right hand and pass the relay between the electrodes while applying solder with the left hand and cycling on the power with the Model 10519 footswitch. Hundreds of accurate repeat joints can be made this way once the job is properly set up.

 

Recommended Power Units: The following American Beauty® power units accept these attachments: Model 105B2 (1,100 Watts) for Model 10513A and Model 105C1 (1,800 Watts) for Model 10513B. The Model 10519 footswitch is recommended for ease of heat control.

NOTE: Always keep electrodes clean and free from burnt flux and solder residue by dressing them with and emery cloth, a fine file or a small wire brush. Replace electrodes that have become too short or badly burnt.

WARNING: Electrodes generate a significant amount of heat when power is applied. Use with caution to avoid burns, fire or other potential damage. Normal use of this product is likely to expose the user to solders containing lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects (or other reproductive harm) or other Proposition 65 listed chemicals.
